I think I'm gonna buy a copy of JJ's OS and give it a go. I'm gettting tired of the a lot of the Akai bugs and maybe new bugs would at least be less annoying.

Does the JJ os have any ability to edit multiple pads in programs simultaneously? In other words, can I lower all pads volumes or stick a lowpass on them at once.

Also, does anyone know if JJ is developing a way to link one q-link to multiple pads? That would be tight to have...

Yes, you press MODE + Pad 11 to edit an entire program.

Just off the top of my head I think you can assign a Q-link control to a single Pad or All pads but not a selection of pads (e.g. Pad 1 and Pad 3 but not any other pads)....I could be wrong though.

I just downloaded the OS and tried it out. The Grid edit is sick! This use of screen space is just so much more advanced than akai's. And now the Q-link features! I'm sold... Thanks for the help.
