Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I notice that somtimes when i get new kits and try to load them in I'll get "Error, unknown format" on my screen...I'm pretty sure they are all wav so i don't kno what the prob. is...

HELP PLEASE!!!

Wuntu, I was wondering when you'd show back up, lol.

Problem is, unlike people, all WAV's are not created equal.

Make sure the WAV's you have are 44khz/16bit, I think this has been mentioned in the forums a million and 3 times already though.

and to add. if you have a large file name it will give you the same error. so go back and change the name to maybe 5 characters. that happened to me. i loaded up 10 or so sounds and all gave me the error message. then i rememberd i forgot to rename them. so i just use automater (on my mac) renamed them. put em on a zip and it worked perfectly.

On PC ckrename works well for batch renaming of files.

It's ALL been explained in here before.

You started out with some "out there" type questions, hopefully by now, you are more comfortable with your gear, lol.
