finding the bpm of a sample

ok after i have the sample loop from start and end point correctly how can find out the bpm using the mpc 1000 this would help me out so much and advice is greatly appreciated

For one bar:

bpm = 10584000 / endpoint

it tells you what the bpm is when you edit the sample. right? or is that just a estimate

where you goto conver the joint, where timestretching is i think it tells you the bpm of the sample and where you can change it down to 30 bpm because i was doing it yesterday

That's the same formula I use.

That's the usual method, but sometimes you need the most accurate BPM of the sample. (i.e. When time-stretching or patch phrasing).

easiest way is to use tap tempo to get close then adjust either up or down until you have a flawless loop

by the time I'm done with a beat i got a chalk board full of numbers and math symbols, on some einstien shit.

i tried the formula of bpm 10584000/endpoint when i get done timestrectching the sample sounds horrible and also when pitchshifting how do u guys go about adjusting the pitch on the mpc 100 i feel like once i get past these two stumbling blocks i would become much better at sampling thanks for any advice

have you truncate the sample? Startpoint should be 0

use the tempo button, if its slightly off just scroll the temp up or down until it fits.
