Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I have an xl, triton, mophatt, and a roland 840ex hdr... How would I go about connecting all 4 units through midi... I want to be able to slave the 840 to the xl or vice versa thru midi, so i can record the tracks individually.. allowing me to take advantages of the effects in the 840... all while triggering the mophatt sounds through the triton & sounds from both units thru the mpc.... The way I have it connected now does not allow me to use the time code in the 840.. Im basically just dumping all the tracks through the audio inputs on the 840... I know its a way to do this.. & Im sorry to explain it in such a long & difficult way.. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can offer.. I dont know if I need a midi patchbay or what.. the mpc has 2 midi in's & out, & everything else only has 1 set.. how does this work?? thanx

before I really get in to this you have to tell me a few more things........

1. Are you using the 840 as the mixers as well or are you using something else as well

2. is the mo'phatt the rack module or the keyboard. (I am taking it as the triton is the keyboard)

3. Do you play the keys or are you really just triggering it via the mpc.

your answers will determing if you need an additional midi box or not.......

The mophatt is a rack module & I wanna be able to use the keys on the triton to trigger the mophatt & use triton sounds.. I still wanna be able to use the pads on the mpc for the sounds on the mophatt & the triton though.. I have an mackie 1402 mixer that I have all the audio outs going through... I really just wanna track the individual sounds of the beats on the 840....

Roland 840ex midi out to the mpc Midi 1 in.
Mpc midi b out to Triton midi in
Triton midi out to mpc midi in 2
Triton midi thru to Mophatt rack in

I am not to sure as of the settings in the mophatt or the triton but this simple hook up should allow you to do what you are trying to do......when you want to use the mophatt on a certain midi channel you will have to set the triton on that channel only to thru for it to transfer right

You also need to set the 840 to transmit mtc or mmc and you have to set the mpc to sync for a in then you also must set the frame rates........if you run into any problems just give me or someone here a HOLLA

Good luck
