just got my 500 2 days ago.

first off mad mad mad props to mannchyld for the sale of the 500 to me.
if anyone is gonna cop sumthin from him, he's a good source, and packed the 500 with tender lovin care(thas that southern hospitality)

how bout where to find the part in the menu where u "stack" 2 or 3 other samples onto one pad??

Sample volume is in Program mode (so only adjusts the sample's volume depending on its pad assignment), third option in (Sample level, can adjust volume and pan). You can normalize in Trim mode, but can't adjust the level from there.

Layering is also in Program mode, second option (sample assign), as far as I know, you just keep assigning them from there to a single pad until you're satisfied.

Get the parameter map from Akai's support page, very helpful thing.
