ram expansion

a question to those who used the 500 with the 16megs and then upgraded to the 128. was there a huge obvious difference ? what was it more polyphony?

It just increases the amount of samples you can load at one time to 128mb.

thats it?! i havent had an issue with that at all. it doesnt expand the polyphony to its full 32 voice potential?

i think the OS update supposedly did that.
becuase before the update it said 32 voice(dependent on processing), now it doesnt.

o. cause i loaded a project that i made on the 1000, and one of the sequnces plays the main sample the first time it comes around but when it loops it cuts it off and just keeps playin without it, so i thought i was runnin out of polyphony cause i only got the 16 mb on the 500

You might want to make a new version of the track with the sample on it. Also the polyphony/one shot/note on parameter for the pad in the program might have changed when you brought the program over.

coul be one of those things cause i coulkdnt have been usin up more then like 6 voices , thanks for the tip

cool so im never gettin it. usually work with one or two programs at most ( drums, bass) plus whtever i sample

It's only like 30-35 bucks so no worries even when you do need to get it,if you ever do.
