JJ Mixer- Why outputs 12, 34, 56, 78 and not just 1-8?

12, 34, 56, 78 are outputs 1-8 as stereo pairs, with 12 output 1 would be left and output 2 would be right (same goes for 34, 56, 78).

If you are using mono samples you can scroll through outputs 12, 34, 56 & 78 then after that you find 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 so you can use them as mono outputs.

Make sense?

this is one of the most quiet but awesome parts of the jj os, no longer the need to pan events hard left/right to take advantage of individual outs instead of considering them stereo pairs.

this must be especially nice with all your 8 outputs.

Ahhhhh. Thanks for letting me in on that... I've had the JJ os for 3 days and everyday I learn something that makes me feel like I've got a whole new MPC.

Hmmmm...if I understand you correctly....the official Akai OS does the exact same thing.

akai let you send pads to 1 output instead of a stereo pair?
ie, 1 or 2 as well as 12?

With the official Akai OS, you can send a sample to 1 or 2 or 3 or 4...or 1-2, 3-4, 5-6.....older MPCs do the same thing if I remember correctly...

I could be wrong but I think on the 2500 the mono output feature was missing in the original OS but one of the updates added it.

There were alot of things missing in the original official Akai OS....and alot of things there were not available in MPCs before it.
