differences in colour for MPC3000?

hi

were there two different colours made of the mpc3000? one "white" and one "off white / cream". also, does the "off white / cream" version have a darker arm rest? i'm basing this on the photos i have seen in the past.

furthermore, does anyone make a stock / factory replacement exterior for an MPC3000, including the sides and arm rest? i'm guessing forat may do this...

I think the off white and darker arm rests are just a result of age and fading/yellowing of the arm rest/paint.

hmm interesting. i had an mpc2000xl once that was definitely a cream colour (and this colour was consistent all over the chasis, not due to wear). it was different to my friends mpc2000xl which was white. just wondering if the same thing was done with the mpc3000's.

the cream doesnt look anywhere near as good as the white imo.

That's because in 1999 the Creams were released and then in 2001 the White ones were produced. But as far as the 3000 goes they did not follow that. The reason you seein different color 3000's is from poor care.

Having had several "brand new shipped from AKAI CHASSIS parts" over the years.

CREAM, WHITE and BLACK for the LE re-issue are all real colours.

Faded buttons through lack of care though, that is a different story.

I thought mpc2000xl were cream and mpc2000 white. Never saw a white mpc2000xl.

I thought mpc2000xl were cream and mpc2000 white. Never saw a white mpc2000xl.

havent you ever seen those mpc2000xl's that are white with what appears to be light purple colour around the pads? these look way better than the cream mpc's with fawn?/brown around the pads. i think the white version came out after the cream, but i'm not 100% sure.
