Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I sampled a sounds and go to trim them param to get the bpm and there's nonething there. What am I doing wrong to figure out the bpm when I sample a sound...

aight b4 you go to param page go to loop page, 1)TURN LOOP ON, 2)set a loop(using the "TO" & "END") and 3) count the beats(make like a 2 ,4,8,16,32,beat loop what ever as long as the loop aint over 32beats)...
NOW go to the Param page dial in the amount of beats you counted and you should be set, the bpm will read out only if your loop setting is set on from the loop page,( a sample set to loop will always have a note -off voice mode setting only) once you get the bpm and messed around with it you may want to take the loop setting off when you begin to record your seq to change your pad/sound from note-off to poly or mono.
thats how I do it and it pretty much works for me
