And once again... if it aint blue then it aint the new black

I'd say - if you can't find much info on this then maybe - it wasn't worth asking about - if peeps aint complainin about black or blue - then theres nuttin in it man - just get whatever you can afford - a blue is gonna be cheaper from the used market & a black is new.

Like I mentioned - I prefer the blue -as the pads feel better & the machine just feels a tiny bit better made - but Im talking like 2% better made.
Get the machine & start making some beats coz - the least of your problems is whether " you shoulda got the black or blue ? " believe - wat wit the JJos etc etc - you gonna be trippin on tons of other shit here - your never gonna really know which mpc is better until you have them side by side over a long period.

Think about it .. how many peeps round here REALLY know the answer to dat Q unless they have both - most either have one or the other so their knowledge is only wat they know - which is black or blue.

pho real... I just want to get one, but the blues can be had for about $600 or less on ebay.

I have have almost got one from there. If I can get one for about $500 shipped I will let the one I have sitting at GC go.

I've tried both the black and the blue at the same time and I think the pads are softer and feel more sensitive on the black one, but that may be due to the fact that the blue one was a bit older. Also the pads on the blue one were not fully functional and the ones on my black one are still working fine, although from what i've read in other parts of this forum this is not always the case. But personally I would say the black is the way to go. I'm just waiting in anticipation for the day when my top 4 pads begin to fade...

get the cheapest mpc you can find.
fixing these things is very cheap and very easy
i've considered buying broken mpcs and fixing em up/customizing them and selling them for 1000

i dont know though there's a lot of negative opinions of the machine so it may not be worth it

The black one looks cooler than the blue, but that is the only difference. If I had my choice, I would choose black - not because it is better (and not even because it looks cooler), but because it is newer.

sorry to answer ur question.. the black ones just have a little extra glue on the pads.. to make them "SUPPOSEBLY" last a little longer.

Yeah, I have heard that the black ones have buttons less likely to malfunction... but since that is something that only has meaning collectively (I can only say what happens to my own MPC, not what is happening to all MPCs... my own MPC works perfectly), I would call it more an unconfirmed rumor than anything you can say for sure.
