I use reason as well but when you want to use your MPC no matter which one basically what your doing is telling the software that a external device wants to control the sounds in reason you have to setup up your midi devices first because thats what your MPC will become you'll first need a midi box that the MPC can connect to unless you have the 1000, 2500 or 4000 if not then get a midiman or something similar. Next you have to tell reason to recognize the machine. Its better if you see instead of reading

though this is a 1000 the setup in reason is the same.....Reason then becomes the master while the MPC is the slave.....even when you sequence on the MPC they are still sounds coming from the reason session...its banging though.......been doing it for about 3-4 months now and its kinda cool

aight.. got it working and i love the setup so far... im using audacity, recycle, and reason with my mpc...

1 thing though.. i dont know if its possible but im trying to set the sounds in reason so when i push the mpc pad the whole chop plays instead of me holding it down.. like mono mode but for midi.. i tried everything and couldnt figure it out.. its probably not possible huh?

In ADSR for the AMP Envelope of whatever instrument you're using, bring up the R all the way.

I'm not totally sure thats what you're talking about though

dont think you can do that because you have to remember that your sounds are being triggerd from reason through the mpc and are not coming from the mp but im not sure! I think your talking about poly mode vs mono mode on the mpc but that only workss for a mpc.....not sure if you can do that with reason

yea thats exactly what im talking about.. i want to know if there is a setting in reason that can allow me to do this...cause it seems to do this when i connect redrum to the mpc.. the drum plays all the way out... but when i use dr. rex it doesnt do this with the samples..

Well dr.REx is a different tool than redrum each tool has its own option but I dont think the rex tool has that option I never tried it though.....
