MIDI CC External Control Request List

In a related topic, we were discussing which parameters we would like to see the MPC1000 respond to from an external MIDI controller in a future OS update. I'll start the list (in no particular order)... and if anyone has any reasonable suggestions, feel free to contribute.

I'm not sure if anything else really needs external MIDI control (reguarding things that are less strenous on the Data wheel and Q-Link sliders). But if there's something worth suggesting, let's discuss it.

i'd love to see qlinkable filter envelopes. i'd do a LOT more with then and they could do some cool things with drums, now that qlink (and presumeably filter envelopes) don't screw with simulted layers. qlinking filter envelopes could give the mpc1000 and 2500 a very distnct drum style - i'm working on that already with simulted layers, but i really want to turn the machine into a drum sampler-synth usign all this new software. boomchik be warned.

again, hidden power in synthesis. you know how easy it would be to load a saw and sine wave into the same pad, make it note on, and then autochrome it and fk with global params and qlinking LFOs so you have a real synth?

especially with the coming midi cc in. you could assign a WHOLE lot more than just 2 qlinks, presumeably. on your axiom or midi controller (midisense son) you could have a bunch of controls set to filter, level, resonance, different lfo depths, pitch, EVERYTHING

record your melody, and then just start juggling qlink data with your contrlller. EXTREMELY powerful synth, rgiht in your mpc. as i've said, it's like a maelstrom.

what about swing and shift timing? it'd be nice to be able to turn those into midi cc controlled items - not as qlink data (i instead like how the jj made that NON qlink data in the os) but the way it is now.

that would be great for my infrared controller - position it so your head comes in contact with it and basically nod your head to record different swing increments while both hands play the drum.

i'll look into the swing and shift timing parameters and see what the extent of the range of those values are. it's been a while since i used them.

i would just add the tempo to that list

anyone notice that tempo change records only record in percentages, not 1/10 percentages?

ie the resolution of the tempo sweep is not very good - looks like a bug to me.
i noticed this way back in the day
but i'd really like to start making grooves out of very small tempo changes in a sequence
