MPC Stand

I live in the UK and am currently looking for an MPC 1000 stand you can put your mpc on, usually mobile. Most producers I have seen at work have it. I don't know if that's what you call it, but if anyone knows what I mean please help. I would prefer to buy it online.

mine is propped up on a very hi tech peice of wood - does the job perfectly.

But Argos (of all people) in the uk sell a laptop stand which looks like a very good alternative - check your local hi street for details!

Quicklok are built too shoddy... especially for the price!
Buy the On-Stage Stands Mix-400, which is built much sturdier and cost less...

I wish the On-State Mix-400 had lock bars on the top as well as the bottom. It looks like it is just waiting to drop your MPC on its ass if you loosen up the neck joint to much!

How many people here have actually used it. Is it solid? Would you recommend it for a live performance situation?

It's definitely good for live performances!

It's a bit wide for a 1000 (though the rails still hold it at the bottom). But all you need to do is make a base for extra stability by cutting a 1/2" thick piece of wood to 14 3/4" x 12".

After I cut my board to fit the above dimensions, I finished it using some black peel & stick laminate. It looks nice and blends perfectly with the stand. I gotta borrow a camera and take pics.

The bumpers on the front rails (as well as the mpc's rubber feet) keep the 1k from sliding around. I wheel it all over my apartment with brand new carpeting and I've never had a problem.

picture! picture! that sounds amazing. it would free up some room from my desk, too, so i could put my computer keyboard on the little jutting out thing

is there something like that that would fit on a mic stand? i'd like to be able to adjust the height so that i could stand, or so i could put it on a little stand and set it up on a table.

Is there anyway to lock the wheels?

Because wouldn't it just want to roll around everywhere as you were tapping the pads?

yeah, there's locks on 2 of the wheels.
