does anyone know of a program for mac (or windows i guess)..that cam make pgm files for the mpc500...something like mpc pad 187 bur layed out for the 500? or a trick? thanks

Nothing yet. I emailed the author of Pad 187 to see if he would be willing to do an MPC500 version but i haven't gotten a reply.

As long as you take into account that Pads 13-16 Bank A in MPC187 will correspond to Pads 1-4 Bank B in the 500 and so on, MPC187 will work just fine with the 500 if it's simple .pgm creation you are after.

i found out that if you just drag it to the pads from bottom left to right to the top (instead of where it says to place the wavs) then it will allocate it to the first available pad. If this doesnt make sense and someone else is interested let me know so I can explain it.
