Q-link slider reset bug in OS 4.40 and OS4.39

The ALL R and Reset buttons on the Q-link slider page no longer work in OS 4.40 and OS 4.39. It still works in OS 4.38.
I seem to be having all sorts of random problems with the Q-link slider settings when using OS 4.40. One time when adjusting the filter cut off the sound disappeared all together. I am sure it was due to me bringing the cutoff all the way down. What was annoying was I could not get the sound back no matter how I adjusted the Q-link slider or the filter. I even turned the filter off and turned the Q-link assignment off. I ended up reloading the program. When I tried to recreate the problem I was able to fix it by simply turning the Q-link assignment to off and then back on. I have had similar experiences when using the Q-link to change the pitch. What’s really annoying is the randomness of my problems and also the fact that some times I can get my sample to play back normally by screwing with the settings (such as turning the pad assignment on and off, or turning the filter on and off) and then other times I have to reload the program.
Any body else having these problems

you are right. i also noticed some qlink wierdness. i did not try to beta test further or report something, as i am already trying to get a bunch of other bugs fixed.

yep, its like the sliders are overriding the values in the qlink setup page (mode+pad1), i mean, as the assignment is chosen - eg: tune, cutoff, res etc...the slider is instantly setting THAT parameter to the value that the sliders position at THAT instant, so just by changing the parameter, all the values get used one by one, and the program is modified.


like u i was going round in circles trying to figure out why i had no sound level, and it was 'cos i scrolled through the params - past the level parameter - it set the level at zero, 'cos the slider was at zero.

Yep its true! BUT not only THAT, also the NOTE ON "Sample Start" parameter doesnt even work for Qlinks anymore, only Note On "Sample End" param..
I reported it a while ago, JJ must be busy.
Im still destroying stuff with the JJ OS, its fun!
People are busy asking for NEW params and features from JJ and NOT fully testing the OS versions they currently have! Its retarded!

no, mine works fine, the sample start works ok, on both the sliders, just as long as theyre not BOTH assigned as 'note on' parameters.

yeah,its mad i agree about the new requests (i'm to blame too tho') but hey, if its possible, try to get it.

its funny because we do get chuffed when there's a development, but its taken me a while to soak some changes up, only to realise (like u said) that some of these great new developments bring brand new options copupled with frustrating problems...

eg: qlink or 'q-real' editing in the grid edit page, using the " 'tap tempo' + jogwheel or 'step' locators to select ranges to edit - delete - then seeing the cursor jump around (nowhere near my selection - giving me no clue as to what areas i'm selecting!!) then deleting actually removes loads more than expected.....

Yeah that sounds like a nightmare.. I dont use the grid. But with my qlink thing, I have q1 on real time tuning, and q2 on 'note on' sample start and then sample start doesnt record perams on a track. Maybe its only buggy when q1 is set to real time tune?
But yeah, Im fine with OS 4.40. We have so many tools, many of these dudes on here dont need them! These people are hiphop people- not aphex twin!!! (In which case they would be using the computer).

q1 = note on - s.start
q2 = realtime - tune

does anyone know which update finally caused the qlink deaths?

i want to try the version that lets u use 2 sliders in any combination note on/realtime etc...
