Sound are cutting out of Mpc 1000.

I got a problem with my MPC 1000. Check it mane, I have the 128 ram installed. I have a total of 9 samples loaded up and recorded in, 4 of my samples are drum samples, the other 5 are sounds. I got a 8/4 beat looping 4 times. Now here's my problem I got the beat playing with all my samples playing exept for one. When I take that sound off mute, it will play halfway through and then another sound will cut out. What's tha biz on this. When I put the sound on mute again the sound that cut out starts playing again. Even if I want to double the high hat a sound will cut out, meaning that for some reason it's not letting me add more to my loop. I know there's someone out there that has mastered this problen. So holla back at me. ASAP.

make sure your hi hats/rides are monophonic
make sure your waves are trimmed appropriately
sounds like you're mismanaging polyphony

Hey bra I sent you a message in your inbox, I'm not sure what your saying mane, When I sample into the mpc I sample in stereo. I'm not sure what the poly thing your talking about is. My samples are cut just right, I should beable to record way more samples into my loop. Let me know what you think mane.

He means MONO in the sense of Polyphony, not in the sense of a single audio channel.

Try putting your drums one one track and make the program MONO (Go to Mode > Program > Params)

Then try putting the sample that is cutting out on a separate track and make the program POLY

See if that helps

Thanks brotha, I did exactly what you said mane, and it worked, all my sounds were playing and nothing was cutting out. Im not exactly sure why it worked, feel free to explain. Thanks and GOD Bless, you the man.

It's simple

Mono means "one"
Poly means "more than one / many"

Therefore, MONO will only play one sound at a time and POLY will play many. It's as simple as that.
