small things to speed up the workflow....

i'm trying to cut down on some of the windows and whatnot
so i'm making this request for these shortcuts.
not as exciting as new features, but would make little things like nudging events even quicker/easier...

SHIFT + LEFT arrow: shifts current track EARLY by 1
SHIFT + RIGHT arrow: shifts current track LATE by 1
SHIFT + UP arrow: chooses next sequence in order
SHIFT + DOWN arrow: chooses previous sequence in order

seems logical to me.

but not the track shift.. but thats just cuz i never use the SHIFT TIMING feature...

would you mind giving me an instance you use that with... maybe i could learn a new trick er sumthin.

put silence at the front of a sample, and trigger it early. this way you dont put 2 events on the same tick. tightens timing.

and also gives you a resolution WELL above 960
you get "sample" resolution

i like the rest, but not the above. MAIN screen is not the right lace to move events in tracks.

good idea on the "chosing next or previous sequence" (espsecially when the jog wheel sarts to act funny).

hmm....well, its just a little shortcut, so i guess if some people didn't like it, they could just choose not to use it.

but for me....? man i'd LOVE to do it right there on the main screen.
that way you could shift a track, hear it, move it again,listen again, undo, etc....
all without jumping into another window over and over.
for the amount that i use track shift, it would probalbly make me twice as fast (and productive) with my drum programming...

this kind of workflow (more button commands/less windows) is one
thing i've heard friends who had older mpc's always swear by, and it makes perfect sense to me...

In the MIDI screen, I'd like to see:

SHIFT-JOG WHEEL on a note: shifts the note value up and down. Since I primarily program beats in the MIDI screen, that would make things a lot easier for me

I'm coming around to the idea... not necessarily on the main screen, but doing it with one click, while the sequence runs.

on name screen:
< bar moves cursor to beginning of name
bar > moves cursor to end of name.
i sampled a lot today and pasted name for track many many times and after pasting clicked right cursor +12 times to change track's name from a1 to b5 etc.

on trim screen:
shift or tap tempo + zoom in/zoom out zooms four times faster than normally.
