i was thinking of suggesting this to jj, anyone else think it's a good idea?

basically being able to delay the simult function between pads so you could introduce a certain sloppiness if used with drums. perhaps the delay value could be altered with the lfo too? could also be used as a rudimentary delay effect.

thoughts?

yeah i like that idae, but i do it already in a different way. (i would love to see the lfo thing though)

modnar, you'll like this:

take the sample you want simulted and go into trim.
select everything but the very tip of the tail end of the sample and reverse it.
then reverse the entire sample. now you have a bit of silence at the start of your sample. hit play and trim til it sounds appropriately sloppy.

yeah that's on it's way, jj has said so, so i've put that in the 'coming soon' box. i was thinking of things to put in the 'coming soon to 'coming soon box' box. :D

you're right, but the reason i said for it to be varied by the lfo (or, now i think about it, velocity) would be to provide moving sloppiness. makes it a bit more natural maybe.

edit, actually this could be done now actually with the simulted velocity layers you suggested. just have samples with different lengths of silence at the beginning on different layers played at different velocity levels. cool beans, i just soiled my nappy i'm so happy.

whoa is right, that's fking wild - time shift by velocity setting...

just a midi fx set would light me up for this kind of thing, midi delay, simple arpegiator, scale/note quantise, and for u lot.... a humanise effect, all will a few important parameters , with 'randomise by 1-100%'.

of course i'd ask jj for a customise one with 'modnarise by 1-100%'!!
