I downloaded bluebox and it helped me a great deal, i am having some problems with it though.

I placed each sample on each pad, (all 16 in A,B,C,D) and when i saved the .pgm and put all the wav files in the folder of my card it said "missing file"

When i went back on BLUEBOX on pad 4 of A and all the other pads it said "file missing" BUT HOW IS IT??? So for some reason i can only use 15 pads, could someone help me please?

go to PROGRAM and then PARAM or whatever and in the upper right you should see smoething that says MONO. change it to POLY.

Oh and 2:Ive chopped a sample into 4 pads(1 part to each of 4 pads) when i tap the first one it plays, but if i hit another one it will cancel the first one, why is this happening?

Jon - I'm not sure if this is your issue, but make sure that the samples are the correct "bit rate." If I recall correctly, the samples you load into Bluebox must be 16 bit (not 24, etc). What I had to do is (1) first use a wave editor to change the bit-rate of all the samples to 16-bit and (2) then load them up into Bluebox. MPC 1K can only handle 16 bit samples.

Also, make sure you are saving "all" in the drop down menu of Bluebox - I recall having some issue because of how I was saving it. You must save program and all samples.

I have a feeling your issue is bit rate issue.

I chcked every sample, all 300 of them, they are all 16bit! And whatever sound even a drum kick i put into pad4 of bluebox it says "file not found". So i have to make a pgm for 15 samples and create another pgm for another 15 samples. I juts wanted to make 1 pgm and put on 64, which would make things a lot more productive.

One thing - I had samples that were all supposedly 16-bit (according to the details listing in windows). However, some were nevertheless coming up missing until I converted all of them to 16-bit with an audio editor. You can select all 300 at once and convert all of them (easily). Try that, Jon - hope that works.

In general, Bluebox is outdated and doesn't always work great.

yea but the folder is called 300Breaks. Example: it has the walk this way(run dmc) beat which is like 10 seconds long. When i slice it up to 4 pads let along, 6 each pad goes on for like a second and a bit.
