Looping

Is it possible on this machine? And how would you do it, thanks?

not looping of a single sample, you can loop by sequencing a sample repetatively, but not just by holding a pad down or anything.

Never slowed me down.

heres a little trick to get something looped perfectly to the bpm. sample the bars you want to loop, trim it perfectly so you can loop it manually without recording, set your mpc's bar count to 1 or 2 depending on the length of your loop, set record, play, trigger it once, and then fiddle with the bpm setting on the mpc till it loops perfectly. now set the bars back to 4 or 6(or whatever you use for your base sequence) and you can loop it up like elmamaco said.

So if i've got 2 loops at different bpm's is it possible to get them running at the same bpm?

Sure. Just change the Tune of the samples and the tempo/bpm will change accordingly (just like pitch in every dj turntable).

Thanks (that was FAST!!). I've only had my mpc for 4 days and haven't been away from it bar to eat and sleep. This was doing my head in and even tho i looked through the manual i overlooked that.

Glad i found this forum, it seems an invaluble rescorce. Just looking for a thread that might help i found loads of stuff unrelated that will make life easier in the future.
