he is just controlling the pitch of that sample from the 80s 'fresssshhh'... the one that sounds like a vocoded scratch...

tihs made me very happy
the finger drumming needs a little tightening up, but nothing that a ton of practice
the scratching though. THAT i am am very impressed with. excellent idea, excellent use, and excellent performance.

ahhhh... 'fressssshhh' I like it...
still a newbie here, so these things that might seem simple to some seasoned veterans may look real sick to me...
I have only like 3 actual hours on the MPC1K, but like 6 on reading the books, both of them...
I was trying to screw around with the sliders, but couldn't quickly figure it out... so right now it's on the list of things to learn.

well as far as newbs go around here, you are doing your homework. we like that. most newbs think forum support comes with the purchase price of a new unit.
