NEWBIE question

another newb question... should I save my internal sounds to the HD also?

I guess I don't need to since they factory sounds are available. I am a firm believer in backups, due to my Sys Admin background, but there can be drawbacks when it comes to saving too much stuff...

too many backups = too much digital junk.

I keep song/sequence data duplicated on HD, the data card, and will probably back it up in the memory too. There is no such thing as too much redundancy.

However, the sample data, I have backed up on my PC, and they are big, so just the HD is fine.

sorry, i was talking to alien_brain.

I was wondering, is it suppose to take a minute for the HD to mount to the computer. I am still having this wait time...

I know this is using USB 1.1, but should it take a minute (ok, maybe 30-45 seconds) to mount up?

Also when I dismount the USB from the system tray I have to do it twice before the OS releases the drive. It seems to happen after I transfer over 100mb of data.
