I didn't want to make a poll (although I did) but i'm curious to see how people use their cf cards here (even if you do use a hard drive).

I only have 2 cf cards of now, the one that came with the mp, and a lexar media 512 mb. I keep my drums/percussion on the 32 mb cf card, and the songs I do on the other.

All my drum samples are on the hard drive and I save all my projects in seperate folders on cf cards

I have 4 CF cards. 1g, 2 512mb cards and I dont use either of them anymore. I only use them to upgrade the OS if I need to.

I have a few cards...which initially seemed a liitle silly because internal hard drives are larger, and doesn't cost much more than large CF cards.

But with all the operating system releases (JJ), I only use my CF cards for saving files. Mainly because Akai/JJ advise formatting hard drives with every OS update to prevent certain errors. WIth the CF card, there is no need to do such a thing.

Pretty much the same thing here, except I have a few 1 gig cards. I keep samples separate from projects. :D
