Installing EB 16

Hello, I'm installing an EB 16 tonight into my XL, but I bought the effect board used, so there's no instructions. I'm always leary when I open my MPC. Just so I'm not totally lost, when I open the machine, where do I install the EB16? Top, left, right? Seems Easy but I've heard stories of people putting it in the wrong place & whatnot. Thanks for the help beforehand.

It's pretty self explanatory once you open it up. It can only go into the one connection.

just jam it into whatever slot you find open.........

















And if you dont wanna do that then there should be typed out on the board where you should plug it into. At least in the 2000 thats how theyve got it.

I got mine on monday morning...

I installed it monday night...Works like a charm...Didn't get a chance to play with it much but I know I'm just gonna love it.

Check the manual in the appendix. There's some instructions about opening your mpc and where you can put different expansion boards, including the eb16.

You can fit it next to the floppy drive/card reader/zip drive. You just need to plug it in and put in one screw and you're done!

word up, i put mine in last night & it was a breeze. I used it for a couple hours & wasn't completely impressed, but it will def be useful & fun. Roland samplers still have the best effects to me.
