well it will add capabilities to your mpc.

you gotta download it and then put it on your card and then load it using the load screen.

afterwards you got new stuff to work with, but youre on your own there.

T.Y.

how long have you been using the MPC1000? I would suggest learning the 2.10 OS first while reading up on the JJOS. If you look at the JJOS forum, you might get discouraged at all the bugs that are there...

just my 2 cents...

lets be fair and not scare the kid off...

the bugs arent likely to bother you if youre using your mpc in a regular sort of way. but then if youre not using the deeper stuff, then you prolly dont need jj.

You hit it right on the head... learn 2.10 first, then venture onto the deeper stuff and then maybe JJOS...

master the basics and your Kung Fu will be strong.

I have lost count of how many times I have reprinted the above link for people who have been "discouraged".

'Muz,

good call on that... there is no way that one could forsee this problem unless it was brought up right away.

I may consider JJOS now since I have a 120gb HD in my unit. And yes I have been seeing problems with mounting the drive. It takes like 2-3 times to mount and dismount USB before it mounts the drive to the PC. I wonder if JJOS will fix this problem?

my advice is to upgrade to the jj os whether or not you feel comfortable with 2.1 because the jj os is easier to navigate.

it's actually easier to do the same things you'd be doing in 2.1 on the jj os. ie, chopping (better chop screen), trimming (better trim controls), step edit (no "move" bug), and saving (no new folder bug/directory error).
