Battery duration on the mpc500

Hi every one
I(d like to know how long can you work on the mpc500 when you are powering it with battery?

At least 5 or 6 hours on a set of cheap alkalines. Best to keep the backlight turned off if possible. Once the 'battery low' starts to kick in you can still use it for an hour or more. Yeah, performance is way better than any laptop and a lot more fun too. Laptops don't have drum pads.

Ran mine on Varta 2500mAh rechargables yesterday. Voltage dropped from 7.21V to 7.05V during four hours of use (with backlit). I think low battery warning is 6V. (however, rechargables tend to drop fast once they drop, so this does not necessarily mean that it will run for like 20 hours, just that 4 hours was no problem at all...)

Has anyone used Lithium Ion or NiMh batteries?

The Vartas I use are NiMh

LET'S PUT IT THIS WAY:

1st time: 4h with unknown batteries
2nd time: 5h with the batlow mode turn to 5V
3rd time: 4h with regular Energizer Bat's & the batlow mode turn to 5V + the backlight and non stop use in this time of test 4h it's a maximum I think.

lol When i travel somewhere i just take my laptop and trigger finger. the 2000 is too big.
