yo, is there way i can sample myself playing drums, like waht equipment would i need to hook up to the mpc, would it cost to much money to do?
Buy an MPC, mixer, a multitrack, preamp, and then drum mics. Mic the Drums, send the mics into the preamp, preamp goes to mixer, mixer goes too multitrack (or just the mpc's sampler.)to record. I like the multirack because I could really make the track dope by micing eack drum and then tracking eack drum. Eq it through the mixer. Then sample it then chop up and replay it all different.
You could also just sample individual hits with a mic and a preamp connected to the mpc. Then play the hits on the pads.
