MPC1000 RAM and CF card Recommendations

ahh i see.

wow, iv read every single page here and i am utterly surprised how many people asked the same question so many times. i am even more surprised that the guys answering the questions always answered them without a negative responce.

great job guys! even though i am new, i always read and search as much as i can before any questions are posted making people repeat the answeres all over again... everyone please read and find your answeres, chances are very high that its been answered before. and in that process of looking for your answer im sure you will learn new things like i did.

Ive got a shop near my hood (sorta) that always has deals on CF cards. They also have an online store. Anyways... i got my CF card real cheap and its working fine. Im not sure who actually makes the card, as it is the store own brand of card, and Im not sure what IPSG stands for.

If you live near Detroit, Mi. going to the actual store might prove wise. they always have instore deals on the same products... i think they are selling 1gig cards for $9.99 and 2gig cards for $15.99.

I have a fuji film 128 MB Compact Flash Card. and everytime I put it in to load sounds and samples. my mpc freezes. and I can't load nothing on it or do nothing =/ idk why. I'm highly upset.

Have you tried loading it straight from a computer? Did you try another CF Card?

Do all these 256mb rams people are recommending also compatible for the black 1k?

blue is the same as black. so the the ram will be compatible so long as you follow by the guidlines. although if you try one that has yet to be mentioned here. please inform us.

Thanks man, I ordered a 2gig card yesterday from them for 20 bucks. Shipped 10 minutes after the order too, despite them saying it would take 2 days before it ships.

I just bought (brand new) and installed Kingston ValueRAM 256MB 144-Pin SODIMM PC 133 (CL3) LOW PROFILE (KVR133X64SC3L/256) and it does not work!

It just hangs on the screen that says "MPC 2500 ( 128MB INSTALLED )"

I've taken it out and put it back in 5 times, but it aint playing ball.

i dnt hav a ram yet but i took apart my broken ipod mini(not nano) nd da flash it had fit in my mpc and it wrked its 4g but it doesnt load all the samplez i put in it i guess i need to upgrade my ram first

FYI,

I bought 2 x 2gb Dane CF off of Ebay... listed in my earlier post, and the PO lost it I guess. I ended up getting a refund for loss memory...



on the other hand I do have my 128mb of memory and a 120 gb WD HD...

Don't mean to be an idiot, but I wanna make this absolutely sure before I buy anything. So would this work on my mpc 1000?
