yes, it is a great source for vibrato and tremolo effects.

can also be used as a rudimentary frequency envelope for short samples.

I dont know which mpc you are using so the parameters and settings might be a little different but on a 2kxl its 0-100 to adjust the freq on the low pass fliter
the more I lower it, the more it will remove hi freq detail from my sample, like hi hats, strings, high pitch piano sounds and melodies, etc its pretty dope by time I lower it to 50% most of the hi hat is gone. I wish the 2kxl had hi pass and mid band freq osicillators to have more control like geting rid of bass sounds. a filter is like a eq, but you can only take away, no adding to a certain freq
I hope this was helpful man. P.s. Are you from canada?

no doubt ,if you was from canada I was gonna tell you god bless Steve nash, well anyway in a 2500 in theory it works the same way. lemme know if you ever get the hang of it

thx...i kno how to filter but depending on the sample it doesnt completely remove hihats. i just thought there was another method using an LFO.

LFO is not the same as Low Pass filter.
