What MPC should I get?

the 3000 is a little dated. plus there's nothing you can't do on the 2kxl that you can do on the 3000. The 1000's pads suck. Go with the 2kxl. Plenty of features, nice pads, stable OS, the most comfortable drum machine to work with.

agree with that, but just in case your not familiar with it - you need buy all kinds of expansions and cards to make it better. it only comes with 10sec sample time, only effect is a low pass filter and panning, only the l/r stereo ouputs. so if u buy it without anything on it, then get ready to spend more. And its discontinued so i dont know how easy it is to find shit.

@ Henning: word, if that's the only advantage of the 3k I'm gonna go with the 2kXL then... I dunno why but I don't like the 1k! Thanks man, I appreciate your help

@ juxt: I didn't knew that! I'm gonna have to throw some more money then... I think it'll be worth it though. I was actually thinkin' in coppin' one on eBay, most that go there are fully equipped and at a reasonable price!

I like the 2500, but since you are not considering, I say MPC1K all the way. If you have a PC it is very easy to get edited sounds in the 1000...

OBTW...

when you get your MPC make sure you buy the tutorial and read your manual... just a word for the ones who want some wisdom...

true, but out of the 3 that the original poster mentioned, the 2kxl is the best choice. And you can still cop 2kXLs new everywhere on the internet, even the 8 outs and effect boards are easy to find as well.

True on the functionality, but production wise, the others are easier to work as far as PC and DAW integration...

but that might not be a big deal in this situation also...

@ Hamzter: yes I do have a PC, I'll be producin' through it! Damn so another MPC in equation lol... and no worries about the manual, of course I'll read it carefuly and thorouly no one masters something without studying it. Thanks for the tip
