Welcome to the forum SLIZZ!

I own an MPC4000 and I am not familiar with the 2500 but as far as getting the beats into the PC the Manuals Should explain the process.

Do you have the manuals for the 2500? if not here it is for you:

The Quickstart manual: http://www.akaipro.com/documents/MPC2500/MPC2500_Quickstart_Manual.pdf

The Users Manual: http://www.akaipro.com/documents/MPC2500/MPC2500UsersManual.zip
If you don't have AKAI's site it's here:http://www.akaipro.com/

Check out the MPC2500 section of this forum for further information.

Just trying to help,

you have to go to prefrences and set it up to recieve. this is probably a dumb question, but did you load the drivers for the interface? if you did, you should be able to go to the preferences menu and see somethin that references the interface that your using. just select it and there you go.

Well if its just the dedicated laptop soundcard and nothing fancy, u go from line out on the MPC to MIC in on the laptop. Just go easy on the gain cuz the MPC is meant to put out line level input.

Whats up people thank u 4 all of your replies with them and some talking to a friend a few days thinking and a few more wires and some M-audio Tech support I can say I recorded my first test track into cakewalk tonight ........Time for the fun to begin.........Hahahaha seems my windows xp installer wasnt completly finishing the instalation on the interface also i
upgraded to the M-adio fast track pro it has more outputs so with all my wire hooking up and unhooking I found I can also sample anything i play from my PC into my MPC with this interface.....NICE!!!!!!!
