Brand: ?
Capacity: ?

I expect at least 4 or 5 "use CF cards, they're more reliable" replies however but thats not what I want to know. I already have some CF cards I use, Im just curious as to some sort of trend since it seems to work for some and not for others.

I'm not sure if you're asking about SD or CF..

Brand really doesn't matter though for either unless it's a hi-speed card, then there is a difference. You can get a 1GB SD Card by a company named Impact at Walmart for $20

The cards are getting much cheaper but the brands I wouldn't worry about.

What SD card has worked for you?

I'm not sure if you're asking about SD or CF..

SD cards, to me, seem to be finicky with the mcd installed in my 2kxl. I've never gotten one to work form me so I've stopped trying.

So everybody got 512MB or 1GB CF cards?

I'm gonna buy one later on today since I installed my card reader but don't have a card to test it with yet. Before I installed the card reader, I upgraded my OS to 1.14 from 1.07. Any differences between 1.14 and 1.20 regarding support for 1GB cards?

interesting.

So far I have tried 2 sandisk cards 512 and 64 mb and they both dont work. I wonder if the card reader itself (the model) has something to do with it.

I have used the mpc editor to format as well as windows and neither have worked.

So I went to get a cf card today but the guy had only 1 gig cards so I bought that instead of a 512 MB one...

Just tested my card reader with OS 1.14 and I can only format a partition of 512 MB, not a 1 gig one...

Can this be solved by upgrading to OS 1.20? Otherwise I would just try but I haven't got a usb card reader for my laptop yet...
