FLASH CARD SUITTIATION.

i jus got my mpc 1000 and im kinda new at this.

ok i got 2 questions, is a compact flash card the same a s amemory card?

and i cant seem to load any of my samples or sounds from my flash card because when i put the flash crad in when im about to load the moc seems to freeze or stay stuck...is that normal, and if that happens then how can i load my samples and sounds to my mpc 1000 if it dont let me load them because the mpc seems to be on a "Hault" when i put in the compactflash card.

im kinda lost. i need some help on loading my samples and sounds, i allready have sounds and samples in the flash card the problem is getting them in the mpc.

CF is a memory card.

be sure to gently insert the flash card all the way. theyre a bit fragile, so be careful. there are issues with it being fully inserted.

once you do get it working, format it.

IT STILL DOESNT WORK, LIKE I SAID BEFORE, IT SEEMS LIKE THE MPC FREEZES WHEN I PUT IN THE FLASH CARD ALL THE WAY IN UNITL THE LIL BUTTON COMES OUT AND IT STILL DOESNT LET ME LOAD CUZ IT STAYS STUCK AND WHEN I TAKE OUT THE CARD THEN THE MPC COMES BACK OUTTA "FREEZE MODE" AND WITH OUT NOTHING LOADED....

IM TOTTALLY LOST ON HOW TO LOAD MY SONGS FROM THE FLASH CARD IN THE MPC OR INTERNAL MEMORY...

ALSO WHEN I TRY TO LOAD AND PUT THE "LOAD FROM" ON INTERNAL MEMORY AND I PUT THE FLASH CARD IN AND TRY TO SPIN THE WHEEL TO MEMORY CARD IT NOW SAYS "WAIT...."

is this the CF card that came with the mpc?

look inside the slot and see if theres any damage to the gold pins at the back.

IM NOT SURE....ITS A...."FUJIFILM 128 MB COMPACT FLASH"

I BOUGHT THIS MPC FROM SOMEONE....AND IT CAME WITH THE USB CABLE, THE FLASH CARD I JUST MENTIONED AND THE MPC 1000.


IF ANY ONE IS WILLING TO GUIDE ME THRU THIS PROCESSOF LOADING THESE SAMPLES BACK IN THE MPC I WOULD HIGHLY APPRICIATE IT...THE MPC HAS NO SOUNDS...AND IM EAGER TO USE ALL READY...

yes, it sounds like that's your problem. you'll have to contact akai or VST for a replacement, or you may be better off taking it to a local music store.

DAMN!!!! BUT I BOUGHHT IT OF A FRIEND AND CAN I JUST TAKE IT TO LIKE A SAM ASH OR ANY MUSIC STORE OR ELECTRONIC STORE???

can you be gentle enuff yourself and try to bend them out again? once you insert your card, theres no reason to take it out if you ask me. if you can get it in there once and leave it, youll be ok.

well, if you think you can replace the cf reader yourself, by all means go ahead and order one from akai or VST, otherwise you'll need to take it to a service centre to get done by a pro.
