i looked at an mpc 2500 today...

and then i thought, naaaaaaaah! its a rip off. well now it is anyways.

whatever man.

all i know is, i had a 2000xl for years and then i saw that they were coming out with the 1000... i was very interested. when it dropped, i went to guitar center and played around with it, and it completely changed my mind. the pads sucked, the screen wasn't tiltable, there weren't as many outputs, i didn't like the colors... i made up my mind right there that it wasn't worth it.

then when i saw the 2500 was coming out, i also became very interested. when it finally dropped, i went to guitar center to mess with it and i became even more interested in picking it up. bottom line is that's what i got now. cd/dvd drive, 100gig hard drive, 8 outs, 2 knobs and 2 sliders, black with the gray pads... can't look any better.

are there any people out there who are happy with the 1000 but who used an older mpc prior to getting the 1000? if there are, i bet there's more people who are happy with the 2500 after using previous models.

Try one out with the JJ'OS if you can,you might have a change of mind.

um, will the JJ OS change any of the things that i said turned me off of the mpc1000? i don't think so...

i just cant afford the extra $G for those features. theyre not worth it to me. plus i like the small size of the MPC 1000. it fits in my backpack!

Yeah, I checked out the 1000 before I bought my 2500 and thought "nah, it's a piece of shit." At least compared to the 2500...

The problem is, peeps seem to think the 1000 and 2500 are the same. The JJOS is the reason why?

The physical differences of each unit is the real difference. Th 2500 feels like an mpc, the 1000 is a compact alternative. Just the tilt screen alone makes the 2500 a winner.

my bad about responding to pros&cons.

i've fit my 2000xl in my backpack before to go to beat battles, so i'd probably be able to fit the 2500 since they're roughly the same size.
