Is the jj os really that much better? what exactly is the difference?

I suggest to search in the forums.... Much much better features:

1. Chopshop is much much better and intuitive than the one in the official Os
2. Editing programs is much much faster... you can change the pitch of the all program or the shoot mode at ones (not pad by pad)
3. MTC works :)

aw man, u gotta be kidding, its added sooo much, i reverted to 2.10 akai os the other day to check some thing, and changed back as soon as i realised what was missing that i'd gotten used to....i was like "where's my mpc gone?" !! : )

not convinced? check the online manual, it helps to show the new pages, screens n controls...

pce!

yeah its a great improvement, even if its only added the things i'd have expected from £700, these days.

but its turned a machine i like the hardware interface of (that had a distinct a lack of intelligent programming) to one with tools i'd normally depend on.

workflow's quicker too, just watch out for the odd bug here n there. theres a bug fix list on the main JJOS site, so u can view how it goes from day to day - and i mean day to day in a literal sense :)

no contest, akai os beats jj os hands down
the awesome "new folder bug" feature in the akai os really stimulates my creativity, i don't know what the rest of you crackers are on about

The JJ OS is much improved. But you have to keep tabs on the JJ site because they have bug fixes all the time....just to funk up another function.
