i remember when i first got my mpc! i was so amped that i didnt even read the manual at first just started fooling with it then as i needed to do more I RTFM. i think you have to actually have beat making in your soul to begin with. Just getting a MPC cause ole boy got one and is making doe will bring you down roads such as this(not having a clue where to start) not trying to dis but some folk need to face facts, pack it up, and just get a good job invest start with a 401 k an plan for the future. YOU HAVE TO BE MUSICALLY INCLINED!

Not to throw dude a loop but 1,2, and 3 are elementary i mean this stuff is in the manual and above the buttons.
1. if you can use a computer you can do this. hook the usb to you mp then to you pc then mode load or save, now copy & paste or drag.
2. get your idea down(this is where inclination comes in) then press play record, one bar count off then start creating events, hit or whatever.
3.hilite program hit window you will see some tabs pick the one that applies.
Im using the 1k. Oh yeah, Focus, in the future do mad research on your gear before you commit, check out some of the other topics on this forum, doing this will save you alot of doe and headaches. Goodluck, post up you first track over in your music!
