Chopping Samples

i hear it a lot. its tight as hell. i wanna learn. im sure it has something to do with the trim screen. thats all i know. Naw, i aint slow people...Juss on a come up

I personally hate that term, "chop." Man. The work we do is much more precise than "chopping." Anyway, that's my issue. It's basically editing loops or longer sounds into pieces. Some folks like myself, take the individual pieces and fine tune them into free standing sounds. Others, edit them very smoothly, so they can be reconfigured back into the very same loop or into new arrangements.

I'm sure somebody can be more detailed, but that's it in a nutshell.

Go into the zones page and set the number of zones 1 thru 16 and adjust the samples from there. If you like get Recycle program too. It can be a short cut.

im guessing you mean zone on the 2000...thanks though! i plan on flowers wit it soon as i get to the crib.

Go for it. This is the most fun about making beats to me. Taking a loop and slicing it into some hits. Just give it a try yourself, i'm sure you can figure it out. If you have any specific questions don't hesitate to ask.
