My XL is about 4 - 5 years old now and lately it has started turning down (by about -10 DB) voices it is triggering from the multi in my Motif Rack or voices from the Alesis Micron. Even if I am just triggering sounds on the MIDI controller via the MP (ie. no sequence recorded) it still does it.
I can get the sound to its normal volume again but I have to keep flicking the patches back and forth on the synths (as this seems to reset it).. all pretty weird, but I have tried several things that lead me to believe it is def the MP doing this. For instance even if I do not have a keyboard controller inputted and trigger from the pads it still happens.
The other things it has started doing is when I try copying tracks or sequences (either from Main or Edit screen) it does not want to copy all events, just a few.
Last night another (BIG) problem.. everytime I want to record over a track, it would wipe all other tracks within the Seq. I had to keep going open window on the track in question, deleting, then going overdub as this was the only way it would let me work.
Arrggh!
Thinking about buying a 2500 or 4000 now, but really need some help to see if I can fix whatever the hell is going wrong with my baby!
Any help appreciated..
