this tutorial is exactly what i've been looking for...um, except in english. if anyone knows of a comparable tutorial in english a link would be hugely appreciated.

thanks for the links...but i've already seen those. i guess i forgot to mention that my drive is a SCSI. crapp. i guess i'll have to keep looking for answers. thanks anyway.
