Just got in my JBL LSR's

Alright, I just got the LSR's in and let me tell you they are beautiful. The sad part is that I can't even test them out yet, as I don't even have a keyboard or drum machine, will in a month or so. Anyways down to the real question. When I was waiting for my monitors to arrive I decided to build some monitor stands which look really nice. I modeled them after the classic speaker stands on this page:

Now a concern I have is that the stand sways a little bit if I move the speaker side to side on the stand. Can someone suggest what I might be able to do to the stand to improve on the strength of the structure. I was thinking of putting a piece in the middle of the V shaped support to try and lock it, but I'm not sure what I can do. Any suggestions?

damn, i've been wanting those JBL's since forever, my next paycheck, i might cop them to replace my Wharfdale's.

anyway, about the monitor stands, how much has it cost you so far to make them? cuz otherwise, you coulda get the stands at Guitar Center for only $100 and save yourself some time + hassle.

Yeah I'm in Boston. I order my gear through audiolines.com. They were shipped out from JBL directly. I got the LSR4328P/PAK from 1200. Make sure when you order them that you get the PAK model if you want the mic and software. The stands cost me $40 to make and they look 1000 times better than argosys's stands. I need to get some type of foam for the stand in case of vibrations. Do you recommend anything?
