what are the basic equipment and cables to make my 2000 easier to work with? i need to gain experience. im waiting for my LCD screen since i bought it for cheap with lines in it.

i have a
-MIDI oxygen 8
-reason 3.0
-ION portable record player
-new PC

You could buy a turntable, 8out expansion board and a mixer. If it have scsi installed I would also buy a zip drive, or install one internally - better yet a card reader.
Some Headphones might come in handy - If you wanna keep your neighbours happy...

can i install a external cd rom drive? i have a modern lap top and i don't have a floppy disk drive

whats better zip drive or cd rom to hook up on the 2000?? when you hook up a zip drive to the MPC, you don't need any set up guide or installation?

I had both hooked up. zip drive internally and cd drive externally (scsi)

i want to install a internal zip drive. im sticking to 100mb since i have 100 zip disks and i have a external zip drive for my new laptop. did you install your zip drive yourself? what internal zip drive am i looking for, bro?

Do you have a XL or classic - I don't know if the classic can use internal zip drive - as far as i remember it need a boot disk.

I saw a 2000 at GC the other day, and the feel of the pads are off the hook.
