MPC 1k Internal Hard Drive vs. Flash Card

Besides the obvious storage size differences... are there any advantages/disadvantages to going with one or the other?

I'm just trying to figure out if I should buy a flash card or a HD for my MPC1K

what help do you need to understand that one requires switching out cards and possibly losing them, and the other is tucked safe inside the mpc?

lamp just suggested that you think about what would be best for you and decide, instead of basing your decision on somebody elses answer.

What's wrong with you figuring out the specs on your gear that you will be working with? I'm not in the business of giving answers out like that. I'd rather get you to understand that understanding your gear is the better solution and can lead to many more questions being answered on your own wuickly, right then and there.

I mean is that the only difference? theres no diff in terms of how it loads from the mpc or how its transfered thru USB

its just storage. plain and simple. you can hold more samples, programs, seq's, songs. its the same as a flash card except the capacity. and the fact that you cant lose it, which is the bonus for me cuz i be losin shyt.

funny how you guys really go deep into someone asking a simple question on some "I will show you the way to the answer" lol which is taking you just as long as it would to actually answer the question... this site is so weird when it comes to that. like i said - BESIDES THE OBVIOUS STORAGE SIZE DIFFERENCES......... i know what they both are and i know what i need - question is the way they act wit the MPC.. is there a difference?
