Maximum Characters???

What is the maximum amount of characters you can use in naming an SND.
on the 60 & the 3k?

The file naming convention on an MPC60/MPC3000 is based on a 16 character file naming system

For maintaining compatability with MAC/WINDOWS/LINUX systems the files names should be limited to 8 characters.

If you're only moving sounds between an MPC60/MPC3000 ( if the disks are never going to see a computer ) then the full name 16 character name lengths can be used.
