Scsi CD-Rom Drive

Everytime I put in my cd-rom into my scsi drive it send the tray back out?? What seems to be the problem???

I have an external scsi cd-rom drive hooked up to my MPC2000. When I load the scsi tray into the scsi cd-rom drive it will kick the tray back out I was wondering what it could be.

Do you have a CDR in the drive the MPC2000 doesn't read CDRS only the XL.

this happens to SCSI cd drives as they get older and die.

keep pushing the tray back in, it will eventually "read" and keep the drive closed... if not, its dead.
