How to install a Hard Disc Drive to the MPC 1K

Hey Dude´s...

Well...
i heard that you can install a hard disc drive into your mpc...
and that there are special Disc´s you got to use...
Well i wondered how you can realize that...
Can one of you gime a How to instruction?
Please wid any Detail...or gime a link or suppon...

1. take off the front panel and the top panel
2. under the pads there is a slot for a hard drive
3. get the HDM hard drive rack and install it
4. put the hard drive in it
5. be careful not to bend the prongs on the hard drive or you're really fukked

technically you only need to remove the front panel, the one around the headphone jack socket, the footswitch jack sockets, and the CF card slot. also, it's advisable to install the hard drive in the HDM-10 kit before installing that into the MPC.

I used a random hard drive that was not listed as one of the tested ones. I think any drive will work as long as it is thin enough to fit in the drive cavity.

I think the list of tested drives is just an assurance from Akai so that people don't start complaining to them when their hard drives don't work.

(He works at Amp Town Just Music...my local music hard and software dealer here in hamburg city...
if something gets wrong...man...^^ he´s guilty ^^
and by the way then he has to gime a new mpc -haha-
or do ya´ll think that this is a easy challange and iam able to manage that by myself without damaging suppon on or in my mpc ?

instructions come with the HDM-10 kit, if you can use a screwdriver, you'll be fine. if not, then you might as well hang yourself now, you are no use to the rest of the human race.
