Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hello all,
I have all my creative tools via a macintosh so I downloaded MPCPgmMaker to try it out, before purchase. I realize it's old but I like the simplicity of it's set up.
However, I am having trouble making it work. Let me tell you my specs and process.

MAC G4 OSX 10.3.4 w/ ZIP <-> MPC2000 w/ SCSI Zip

1-I drag and drop my desired wav files onto the pads. (in bank A, because it is a demo only)

2- Press create PGM button. (i confirm it has done so. On the ZIP there is a folder named test, and inside is the test.pgm file, along with all the samples from bank A

3- Direct it to save to my ZIP (which is MPC formatted)

4- Eject ZIP and load into MPC ZIP

5- SHIFT + DISK

Here comes the problem
6- It sees the test folder, but I've noticed there is no .pgm extension. Isn't this part of MPCPgmMaker's job. To give it this extension? Once i saw this I tried putting the.PGM extension on the folder in my MAC. However, this time it saw the .PGM file but it could not load because the MPC told me it could not find the sounds.

There's no folder support on your 2k Classic. So if you're dragging a folder onto your zip, your MPC will only see the folder, but not what's in it. You've got to pull the files out of the folder and put them on to the zip.

Thank you Peter, after a few attempts it finally worked. At first it was not finding the snd files even when i took it out of the folder. Don't know what made it change its mind
