Need help! MTC set up problem

I try to set up mtc from logic5.5.1 to mpc2kxl , but when i record the mpc show the sentence "waiting for time code" anybody pls help me

P.S sorry for my bad english, hope u will understand it.

Dont know much about Logic, but it has to have a way to send MTC. That is what you want to look for. How to get Logic to send a MTC. THe MPC is doing what it should, if you have it set as a slave for MTC.

Does your mpc have the smtp chip installed ?

make sure you have the frame rate set right (the same for mpc and cpu)
i had this problem with acid and cubase
30 drop in logic wont trigger a TC change if the mpc is set to 24 or 25 and so on

oh, thank everybody. Now i can set it!!. and i have no SMPTE ship install too.

I must be getting dyslexic, mixing up MTC and SMPTE... sorry 'bout that. Pckt is on point.
