Yeah Boy!! I just ordered my MPC4000. I talked to John Terry, the US Sales Manager for akai and he said that the MPC4000 is hitting the ports tomorrow. So I called up my gear place and they spoke to Terry for me and I should be getting my MPC in 2 weeks.

I have JBL Lsr4328. How should I connect the MPC to the speakers? Should I use spdif, xlr, 1/4. Anyone recommend a connection?

I was just told that I won't be able to use the MPC and my turntable with speakers the way they are. Is this true? What else do I need?

I don't think I need a dj mixer. I should be able to directly connect it to the speakers, right?

what kind of turntable do you have?

I have a Numark TTX1 and I connect via spdif or switch to line out, directly to the MPC... if I need more settings, ie EQ or effects I connect directly to a mixer then the MPC.

Not to be over negative or anything, but just make sure that the newer lot of 4000 plus units are as genuine as the claim.

Just hope it has the same AD-DA's as the 4000 and not the new 1000/2500 sound engine...i mean we are talking about Nuakai here

Also make sure that the 960 ppqn is not now replaced by just 96 parts, like the other mpcs.
