Im having trouble saving songs and sequences

have a red and blue MPC 1000 and when i make a beat in song mode with several sequences or just even try to save one sequence then turn it off that back on and load up the sequence i saved and play it no sound comes out it remembers everything but the sounds and samples that i used, do i have to find or write down every sound and sample i use when i make a song then load each one up again do get that beat again?

You have to save the programs too, with samples. Just save "entire memory" to a folder, then everything will be there.
