what's the purpose of upgrading the memory in the 2500 frm 64mb to 128mb whats that help you with?

Yo boss the memory is key, i just hooked mine up and sample time is exponential. Also, i bought some non-akai memory as well off ebay for a fraction of the cost, and it stellar.

you mean from 16mb to 128mb. i haven't upgraded my ram, and i'm doing just fine. it really depends on how much you sample, or how many programs you like to load up simultaneously.

When you upgrade your memory, you'll see that you doin "just fine" sucks. Upgrade fool! you'll thank yourself! Dont cheat yourself... TREAT yourself. Aiight, just tryin to help.

Yeah..
If I'm working on a project and then I sample something I want to chop up, it nearly always says 'insufficient memory', so I have to save my project, restart my mpc, sample and chop what i wanted, save my chops, then reload my project..
That's one thing that the extra memory gives you.
... f you have that is! I don't at the moment. Just bought some Kingston ValueRAM 256MB 144-Pin SODIMM PC 133 (CL3) which just makes my MPC hang!!

I bought mine used with 128mb but haven't had a project larger than 10mb yet.
